Yesterday

At the suggestion of my old buddy Jon Francis I had a booth at the Brookdale College Guitar show. It was a blast. I had 3 pedals with me, the afore mentioned double drive, the new Deep Sky Object, and the PWM sine. I got a lot of great feedback, and a lot of great suggestions. Before I was home I thought of a lot of ways to improve upon the pedals that I had made, and soon I'll be displaying all of these improvements here on this blog.
All in all I had a great time and I can't wait to do more.

Hello, this is a blog about my small time stompbox company, EX3. It's short for Ericson Electronic Effects. I make stompboxes for myself and for my friends and for just about anybody who wants them. Right now if you look at the Youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/MrEX3,
you'll see my first entry, the d0uble drive.

The double drive is a pedal that I made for a work buddy. It's a soft clipping type of overdrive with germanium diodes, and a JRC4554 op amp. It's got 2 gain channels so you can switch between rhythm and lead channels. It also has a texture knob. The texture knob is capable of adding volume, but for the most part it adds or removes a degree of saturation from the signal. It gets power from a 9v 700mA wall wort.

There will be more to come. Enjoy and fell free to comment.
